Mechatronic imaging systems are essential in various applications such as scanning
probe and scanning laser measurement, lithography and additive manufacturing
systems, as well as in scientific instrumentation. The often extreme specifications of
these applications put a strong demand on the positioning and measurement system
in terms of precision, bandwidth, and range.
